Expensive Exercise

Have you ever enrolled in a gym to workout?

Have you bought any exercise equipment?

Whether you enroll in a gym or buy exercise pieces of equipment, working out seems to have been an expensive hobby.

Going to a gym will cost you at least $30-$50 a month.  That is $360-$600 a year. And, if you get into the personal training program, it will cost you approximately $400-$800 for 10 to 20 sessions at 30 minutes per session. So, if you are earning a minimum wage of $10/hour, you will be spending a fourth of your paycheck to go to the gym!  That is insane!

Now, if you buy pieces of exercise equipment, will you be able to save a little money?  Maybe, a tad bit.

If you are buying a treadmill or elliptical, the quality kind will probably cost approximately, $1,500.00 and above.  So, instead of paying the gym, you can just save your money to buy your own treadmill or elliptical. Smaller equipment such as weights, rollers, dumbbells, are not very expensive if you buy them in places like Walmart, or Target.  So, yeah, I guess in the long run, you will save some money. But then again, why buy any of those pieces of equipment if you can use some things around the house to exercise?  You won’t be spending money at all!

Exercising or working out need not be expensive. You can use a chair, a broom, a ball or even those laundry detergent and milk gallon containers!  Just use your imagination, and you will save a ton of money if you only use those items you already have.

Go ahead! Look around your house today.  Gather those things you can use to exercise, put on your exercise gear, play some music, and begin your workout!

Check out how you can use some household items to exercise!!!
