A Woman’s Heart

A woman’s heart is hers to keep

But, a woman, who is a mother, she gives to her children

A woman, who is a wife, she gives to her husband

No matter how a woman should keep her own heart,

She chooses to love, to care, to sacrifice

Because a woman, who is a mother, and a wife was made this way,

     Selfless, benevolent, and generous

A woman’s heart is fragile but strong, an oxymoron, but it is true

A woman’s heart is unassuming and kind and rich with compassion

A woman’s heart is with substance, overflowing with a sense of atonement and contrition

Never ceases to amaze humanity’s nature.

Indeed, a woman’s heart is hers to keep

But, a woman, who is a mother, and a wife, will not keep it to herself

     She was born this way,

     To nurture,

     To toil,

To trust and believe in a Supreme Being, a Being who controls a woman’s heart.

No, for a woman, who is a mother, and a wife, her heart is not hers to keep

She freely gives it away, to lend, to share, to cut, to divide amongst those she loves

It is not hers to keep,

If she could, she would put everyone inside her heart

To fill, to indulge to the point of satisfaction

Not for herself, but for those she adores.

Ah, a woman’s heart

It bleeds,

It hurts,

It fears perplexity.

But, a woman, who is a mother, and wife, and whose heart she will not keep

Will never cease,

Loving,

Doting,

Adoring, and,

Praying…Always…For her children, for her husband, NOT for herself

Because a woman believes that her own heart WAS NEVER hers to keep.
